Ty Wilkinson – President

Ty has been officiating since 1992, starting officiating lacrosse in the Detroit area. He also played professionally in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League for the Detroit Turbos and played college hockey and lacrosse at Northwood University in Midland, MI. He has been officiating both hockey and lacrosse for over 30 years from youth through professional. He has also officiated multiple world championships including gold medal games. Outside of officiating, Ty has two children and an amazing wife who lets him officiate his passion. Professionally, Ty is a sales professional at Vertiv.

Shawn Troknya – Vice President

Shawn has been officiating since 2012, starting officiating lacrosse in the Cincinnati area.  He has been officiating lacrosse at the HS level and worked a state final in 2022.  Along with lacrosse, he has been officiating football from youth through Division III.  Hired full-time in the NCAC and OAC since 2021, primarily as an Umpire.  In both sports he has worked play-off games every year he has been eligible.  Outside of officiating, Shawn has two college graduate boys and a very understanding wife.  Professionally, Shawn is an Advanced Application Analyst with a large mid-west retailer for the past 19 years.

Tyler Mikolajewski – Treasurer

Tyler started officiating lacrosse at 16 years old while concurrently playing in Southern Ohio. Officiating at the youth level is where his passion started to grow taking him to the next levels including: high school, NCAA Division I, and International events for both field and Sixes. Outside of officiating, Tyler is a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at the EW Scripps Company headquartered in Cincinnati, OH.

Sean Garry – MS/HS Assigner

Sean began officiating lacrosse seven years ago as his coaching days wrapped up having spent 10 years coaching his sons.  His lacrosse career started at Moeller High School in 1998 as he helped start the first team in Southwest Ohio and he has enjoyed the game ever since.  He enjoys his time officiating field and box lacrosse.  The field game allows for him to stay involved in a sport he loves from the youth to the college level while box lacrosse affords the opportunity to travel the country working leagues and tournaments.  Outside of officiating, Sean enjoys time with his family of two sons and a very understanding wife.  Professionally, Sean is a Global Account Manager for Coesia.

Patrick “Pat” Collura – At-Large Board Member

Pat started officiating in 1976, he has been a college official since 1976 and served as the NILOA District 6 Governor from 1998-2001. He founded and incorporated SOLOA in 2000 and has been a board member since then. In 2020 he was inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Outside of officiating Pat is a law enforcement officer.

Alan Howell – At-Large Board Member

Alan grew up in Ithaca NY, graduating from Ithaca High School. Played 3 sports, football, ice hockey and lacrosse. Alan went to Ithaca College for Physical Therapy, while working on his degree he played football, ice hockey and lacrosse all 4 years. He played in 2 national championships in The Stagg Bowl in football. Alan was an ECAC All Star in Ice Hockey and an All-American Defense Man in Lacrosse. He moved to Cincinnati to start his Physical Therapy practice and played in the Men’s Lacrosse league. While establishing clinics in Cincinnati, Alan was head Athletic Trainer in the 1992 Olympic Games for Swimming and Water Polo and Head Athletic Trainer for Field Hockey in the 1996 Olympic Games. Alan played in the World Masters Lacrosse Championship in Baltimore Maryland in 1998. He started Lacrosse at Moeller High School, and St. Xavier High School, STX, and Bluejays which were both Lacrosse Club Teams. Started Mount St. Joseph University Men’s Lacrosse in 2014. He then started Anderson/Turpin High School Lacrosse Club Teams in 2001 as Head Coach and in 2003. Alan took Anderson High School to the State Champions.

Alan has been named to The Ithaca High School Hall of Fame in 1991, Ohio State Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2015, and Mount St. Joseph University Hall of Fame in 2021

Outside of Officiating Alan is the owner and president Howell Rehabilitation, Inc dba FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers in Cincinnati

Walter “Wally” Petry – Chief Clinician

Wally has been officiating High School lacrosse for 23 years and NCAA Lacrosse for 15 years.

He is a former High School and College Player. Has coached at the High School and Middle

School Level. Wally is a certified trainer and observer for USA Lacrosse. He has officiated 5

Ohio High School Championship games and the 2016 MCLA D2 National Championship game. In 2019 Wally was recognized by his peers in College Lacrosse and awarded the Bernie Ulman Award – for an official who has made a meaningful contribution to the game of lacrosse. Enjoys hiking and photography, he is a retired air traffic controller.

Chris Harrison – Rules Interpreter

Chris started officiating Lacrosse in 2019. As a teenager Chris had many friends who played lacrosse and tried to introduce him to the game but he never became involved in an organized Lacrosse team. Sometime in 2018 Chris sustained an injury while officiating soccer. The following year, another friend introduced Chris to officiating Lacrosse. Chris loved the game immediately and become very involved in Southern Ohio Lacrosse Officials, seeking out mentoring, education, and deeper knowledge of the rules. Chris has also officiated Soccer from the Youth Level all the way to Semi Professional Matches. Chris is currently engaged to his fiancé Stephanie who is very supportive of all the games he does. In his free time Chris loves to take care of his 4 acres of property. Chris works as a Dispatcher for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
